This workshop will introduce participants to Teachingbooks.net and the rich array of resources available on this site. Teachingbooks.net is an electronic resource that provides a vetted collection of instructional materials about children’s and young adult books, authors, and illustrators. This site is an excellent resource to find books that match the reading levels of your struggling students, supporting their development of background knowledge and their understanding of the structures of connected text. Target Audience: K - 12 school-based staff, field support center staff, central staff, and district office staff. Presenter: Melissa Jacobs, Director of Library Services.
