Library Collections and Programs for our Youngest Users - Early Literacy Workshop

The Early Literacy workshop focuses on why early literacy is so important, and how the school library program can support child development. We will cover collection recommendations for babies through pre-K as well as digital storytime ideas; programming suggestions such as Family Literacy Nights and how to support parents; and finally, how to partner with your local public library to promote and coordinate with their early literacy programming

This program is eligible for five hours of CTLE credit in Content.

The New York City Department of Education is recognized by the New York State Education Department's Office of Teaching Initiatives as an approved sponsor of CTLE for Professional Classroom Teachers, School Leaders and Level III Teaching Assistants.
