Information Literacy in the Age of Fake News In-Person
DESCRIPTION
Join this session to learn how to teach our students to be savvy analyzers and critical readers of information in an age of misleading, manipulated, biased, and fake media.

Participants will learn how to analyze information vertically and laterally for authority and purpose.

Participants will know how to evaluate evidence to support an argument and seek additional sources of information to verify author/website claims.

Participants will leave the session with instructional ideas for how to teach students to critically analyze media and information.
This program is eligible for 5 hours of CTLE credit in Content.
