Do you want your students to be able to identify and use primary source documents?
Primary sources are real world documents that engage students in questions of bias, point of view, and help students develop visual literacy skills.
In this workshop, participants will explore a variety of online and offline activities to deepen their knowledge of primary source documents, learn how to navigate and access documents from the National Archives, and learn how to analyze primary sources. Participants will also explore how to build interactive lessons and activities using resources from the National Archives.
This workshop is eligible for 3.5 hours of CTLE credit in Pedagogy.
The New York City Department of Education is recognized by the New York State Education Department's Office of Teaching Initiatives as an approved sponsor of CTLE for Professional Classroom Teachers, School Leaders and Level III Teaching Assistants.
